Modern Squarespace Website Design for a Niche Sports & Creative Law Firm
Salis Legal came to me with a DIY website that simply didn’t reflect the caliber or focus of their practice. Like many small businesses, they had used a Squarespace template to get something online—but the result lacked clear branding, strategic structure, and the professional presence needed for a specialized legal firm.
The goal of this project was to create a site that felt distinctly Salis Legal—not just another law firm website. Salis specializes in legal support for outdoor brands and professional athletes, including surfers and kayakers (how fun), and the website needed to reflect that energy, industry knowledge, and point of view. We partnered with Bonfire Brands, who led branding, logo design, and custom pattern development, and I translated that brand system into a cohesive, modern Squarespace website.
Through strategic layout, refined copy, and thoughtful design choices, the new site clearly communicates Salis Legal’s niche expertise while maintaining professionalism and credibility. The difference between DIY and a site built by an experienced team is night and day—and this new website positions Salis Legal to attract the right clients, tell their story with confidence, and grow their practice with a strong digital foundation.
“Rachel was wonderful to work with from start to finish. I came to her without any sort of grand vision for the actual structure or design, and yet Rachel was able to create a site that exceeded any expectations I had coming into the process.
