One-on-One Small Business Website Strategy Hour

Phew! Honest & straightforward answers to your small business website questions, one-on-one over Zoom.

This individualized hour of Website Consulting and/or training is available for all website platforms or for folks who don't yet have a website yet (but want one!)

You’ve spent hours Googling, hitting up friends for favors… trying to figure things out on your own. You know your website needs “improvement,” but don't necessarily know exactly what that means or how to make it happen. Maybe your homepage doesn’t feel right, Google isn’t bringing you clients, or you're not sure what’s missing—but you know your site isn’t doing what you need it to do. That’s where I come in.

This private, 1:1 session is all about your website, your questions, and your small business goals. Whether you need a site review, technical troubleshooting, SEO guidance, or just to pick my brain on anything at all — we’ll focus on what matters most to you.

Look, I’m a New Yorker. Being direct is part of my birthright! (And it surprises the Portlanders around me!) No more guesswork. No more frustration. I want to teach you how to get leads. I want to give you clear, direct advice and training so you can move forward with confidence. Hopefully, what you learn in this session will help you improve, update, maintain your website for years to come.

Why does Small Business Consulting work?

Your site needs improvement; I will help get you there.

What may be glaringly obvious to me about your website is often something you’ve never considered before! This is why an outside eye (with expertise to boot!) is so helpful. I love what I do. There are NO wrong questions — no matter how “stupid” or embarrassing they may seem. Technical skills and website language are not in everyone’s wheelhouse. I’m happy to take the pressure off so you can do what you do — which is run your business and serve your clients.

We will hop on a one-on-one Zoom call and you can drive! We can do Q&A if that best suits you. Or, we can review your site page by page, keeping in mind common areas of improvement like:

  • SEO: Showing up how you want to on Google or other search engines

  • Q&A, Technical QuestionsTroubleshooting errors or clarifying jargon. (My blog may also help!)

  • Home Page Design: This is your first impression! Does it need a clean up? Do you have proper titles and content hierarchy? Proper CTAs? Let’s get some flow in place so users can access what matters most to your business.

  • Copywriting: Crafting messages that connect with your audience — not with bots.

  • Calls to Action: Driving engagement on the page to get users where you want them!

  • Lead Efficiency: Streamlining your contact page and/or discussing automated appointment booking and schedulers

  • ADA Compliance: Making your site accessible to folks of all abilities. Making sure screen readers

  • Ux: How is the user experience on your site? Is it easy to find what they need?

“While we initially worked together on my client's website, Rachel's skills in other areas quickly became apparent: copywriting and messaging, user experience/user interface consulting, and a whole lot more.

Her ability to really see and feel what the user is experiencing, and translate that to measurable action and improvement, is priceless.”

“I’ve been working with Rachel for a year and a half now, and I couldn’t be happier with how it’s going. Not only is she brilliant at what she does (she is highly experienced, which can be a rarity these days), she is endlessly creative, bringing ideas that I haven’t even thought of to the table.

Beyond the quality of her work, Rachel is so much fun to collaborate with! I can tell she truly loves what she does; it comes through in her work and her interactions with everyone. She is an asset to our team, and I can’t imagine doing this work without her.
