All web designers know how to implement design and functionality to make your website work. They should know how to use Squarespace, style your content, and get images onto the pages. As far as I’m concerned, though — that is the bare minimum! What I offer goes above and beyond building you a website — I am a small business website expert who offers guidance, advice, and collaboration along the way. My offering includes design, development, copywriting assistance, and Squarespace training! We’re talking an all-inclusive website offering, people!
Look, my clients are smart folks who know their industry — but that doesn’t always translate into knowing what they need to make a website that works for them. That’s where I come in. Do you need an easy way for folks to get on a consult call with you? Let’s automate with a scheduler that figures out the time zones for you! Do you need an easy way to take payments? Let’s add a payment processor to your workflow to make things painless for both you and the folks you serve. It’s my job to be not just your Squarespace expert, but a small business expert. In addition to working in web, I have a background in improvisation — specifically, I teach collaboration and communication skills to businesses through corporate facilitation. (And I perform improv too!) I mention this because I thrive when working as a team; I love to bounce ideas off of each other and discover the best solutions together. After 20+ years in web development, I can tell you — that is not how most web developers work!

Squarespace Circle Developer. I’m part of a community of other developers who specialize in delivering Squarespace websites. This also means I get all of my clients cool discounts, including a 20% discount off of their first year’s annual subscription!
Team player. I consider myself a Communication & Collaboration Expert. 25+ years of working as an improv instructor has provided me with the ability to work extremely well with others. In my other business, I teach effective communication, leadership, and risk-taking to clients such as Microsoft, Meta, and HBO. As a Squarespace expert, I keep my clients educated and empower them with the skills to update their own website!
Experience & Trust. I’ve built sites across many service-based industries such as coaching, mental health, education, and theater as well as small law practices and construction businesses. I started in web development in 2005, working in HTML, CSS, and Wordpress. I found my way to Squarespace in 2013 and never looked back.

A little about me.
I’m Rachel Rosenthal (she/her), a super friendly, highly-organized Squarespace expert who loves working with women, creatives and small business owners… because, well, I’m one of ‘em! I started my own business in 2015 and I feel incredibly lucky that I get to make a living working in a field I’m passionate about.
Originally from the NYC area, I was a musical theater kid who loved improv comedy, 90’s hip hop and being the first person on the dance floor. As an adult, I’m actually still that person but… I watch way more television. I’m also a bagel-aficionado who believes that greyhounds are the greatest dogs on earth. In addition to building websites, I teach improv workshops for businesses to promote communication and teambuilding skills. I now live in Portland, Oregon with my husband, where — like everyone — we have a podcast and a dog named Rosie. And yes, she’s a greyhound.
