Your Small Business Website Should Work for You—Even When You Can’t

Automate Your Squarespace Site!

Right now, I’m out of commission with a hand injury. Since my surgery, I can’t design or build sites at my usual pace. (In fact, I'm currently writing this blog post using a voice to text app!) But you know what is still working? My Squarespace website.

I have my website integrated with Dubsado, an automated client management system, so potential new clients who fill out the contact form on my site get immediate responses—even when I’m away.

Here’s the flow: they submit a lead form → I (with the with the help of Dubsado) send a thank-you email with a link to schedule a call → the scheduler books a Zoom meeting → sends a confirmation email → and adds the appointment to my calendar. All automatically… while I'm holding my broken hand in the air like a cartoon villain.

This kind of automation is just one example of what a good small business website should do: work for you 24/7, generating leads, booking calls, and helping clients find you (SEO, baby!)—especially when you’re a solo entrepreneur with limited time off.
