Stunning Website Redesign & Re-Org for a Portland Bodywork Clinic & Education Center

When Michael, the owner of Moving Mountain Institute, reached out, it was clear that his small business website wasn’t keeping up with the depth or scope of his growing business. Moving Mountain Institute operates as both a clinic and a learning center, offering massage therapy and bodywork education in Portland—but the existing site made it difficult for patients and students to understand where to go or how to engage. When I first looked at the site, I found it quite difficult to navigate… so we had to start there: information reorganization.

We approached this as a complete reimagining of the site, not just a redesign. I led the project end-to-end, guiding strategy and structure, assembling the right creative team, and managing the entire process. Three-location professional photography by Erin Fortin and incredibly focused and whip smart copy by Little Frame Creative laid the foundation, and I brought it together through custom Squarespace design and development.

The finished website is calm, intentional, and easy to navigate—clearly separating clinical services from educational offerings while still feeling cohesive. Most importantly, the design mirrors the grounded, thoughtful experience Moving Mountain Institute provides in real life. The new site now supports the business in a way the old one never could, for both patients seeking care and students pursuing education.
